too little too late ...

those who know me well can confirm the fact
i prefer to maintain a positive outlook
to focus on the bright side of things

so i will start by expressing my pleasure
to find out that mom is reading my blog
sure ... she might just be dropping by to pick up hints
about what dad and i are cooking up for sunday
but again ... thinking positively i will assume she is a faithful reader

upon what evidence have i drawn this conclusion you ask
first let me applaud you for your analysis and critical thinking skills
in response to your query i will kindly remind you of my former post
wherein i expressed my desire to commence with the big people food
and i offer the images below ...

it appears that i have been misinformed about cereal
i see no marshmallow monsters
no loops of froot nor puffs of cocoa
no yellow moons, orange stars or green clovers
there is no sugary milk at the bottom of this bowl

here's hoping that pepperoni pizza is a month six thing

boom dip ... a road trip ...

alternate title: grandmother from another brother ...

this weekend i dragged ma & pa to virginia
and based on our experiences i am hooked on this travel thing
not only did i get to start a new collection [state magnets]
but i got to meet some very nice people
and receive some hospitality of the highest caliber

uncle chris put us up in a room that i can only assume was decorated just for me
i mean ... what other explanation could there be for a middle-aged man with star wars sheets
and yes you are seeing that correctly ...
that is a tauntaun sleeping bag [lightsaber zipper pull not pictured]

my only complaint about the trip is with its timing ...
you would not take a man to an art museum after he lost his sight
nor would you suggest the symphony for the audibly challenged
along these lines it seems quite unfair to take a toothless infant
into such a den of culinary delights

maybe next time

that is dad's plate in the foreground
yes ... he finished his bacon
